The firm was founded in 1983 by George Howard, one of the original principals of Wells International Legal Search in NYC. Wells International was the largest and most respected legal search firm in the country in 1983, when they were purchased by a French search firm. The principals relocated to all regions of the country and George Howard landed in Palm Beach, Florida. To this day most of the premier legal search firms in the country trace their roots to Wells International. John Gerard Williams joined HWR in 1985 and after 10 years of mentorship under the master, took over as President of the firm. Currently, we have 5 full time legal recruiters and are widely regarded as the top legal search firm in Florida. References available upon request. We recruit attorneys for both law firms and corporations. In addition, we arrange mergers/acquisitions between law firms and lateral partner placements. HWR is a member in good standing of NALSC (the National Association of Legal Search Consultants),assuring a commitment to a code of ethics.
