JG AUERBACH & ASSOCIATES provides retained or contingency search and related consulting services for emerging or established technology companies, primarily in software, internet/ecommerce, or communications.

The focus is upon building the “business” side, rather than the “technical” side of technology companies. Services include:

• Recruitment of corporate and product marketing, sales, business development or professional services personnel at the VP, Director or Senior Manager levels.

• Short-term on-site recruitment services for emerging technology companies.

• Consulting on recruitment strategy, organizational and people issues, or other areas impeding or relating to company growth.

JOANNE G. AUERBACH, founder and principal, has more than 15 years experience in building the "business" side of emerging and established tech companies. She formed her company in July 1995 and from 2002-2004 was a Sr. Partner in Ventures Connect, Inc, an executive search firm. She previously held Human Resources/Recruitment leadership positions with Octel Communications, Hitachi Data Systems, PacTel Spectrum Services, and the City & County of San Francisco.

Ms. Auerbach has a BA degree from the University of California at Berkeley and is a member of various technology, venture capital, and executive search organizations. She also provides pro-bono assistance to those in the job search market through the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Job Forum and other activities.
