Greg Ambrose formed Catalyst Search Group to provide personalized and innovative executive search services to companies seeking a high degree of commitment to quality, service and integrity. Catalyst Search Group only present industry-proven executives they themselves would hire, and they only partner with companies that they would work for. Greg has extensive experience recruiting senior-level executives in a verity of industries, including the high-tech, manufacturing/industrial, consumer products, professional services, healthcare, and financial services industries. Throughout his career, Greg’s focus has been on high-impact technology executives across all industries, as well as senior Engineering and R&D executives for technology companies. He has placed over 50 key technology executives in the past three years alone. He has been quoted as an authority on recruitment issues within the technology sector by Business Week magazine and The Chicago Tribune. He is a frequent guest lecturer for other business and leadership groups throughout the area.

Prior to founding Catalyst Search Group, Greg was with Heidrick & Struggles International, based in the firm’s Chicago office. He was an active member of the firm’s International Technology, CIO, eBusiness, and Software Practices. He served as the Leader for the firm's eBusiness Emerging Leaders Practice. In 2000, Greg was honored with the "Top Gun" award for excellence in retained search. Prior to his tenure with Heidrick & Struggles, Greg managed the Midwest staffing for a Fortune 100 technology company, HBOC. His experience includes developing and implementing recruiting strategy locally and managing Internet recruiting strategy globally for this company. Previous to his entry into search, Greg served as executive director of a non-profit corporation in Denver. He subsequently relocated to Chicago in 1996 where he entered the search business with another leading firm.
