Paul Bornemisza

biography

Paul is Partner and General Manager of Amrop Costa Rica, where he leads the search for senior executives and independent board members for multinational companies and prestigious national and family businesses.

Paul is a multicultural executive with over 25 years experience growing multinational and family-owned businesses. He has led FMCG companies in Central America such as SC Johnson and Sardimar, as well as the local franchise of Avon Products. He is currently on the board of directors of Conassif, the financial institutions supervisory agency in Costa Rica. He has been President of the YPO/WPO Costa Rica chapter.

Paul holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he studied on a Fulbright Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Costa Rica. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German.

Paul enjoys serving on boards of NGOs in the educational and environmental sectors. Among them are Humboldt School (German), the US-CR Bi-National Center, Junior Achievement, FAICO Cocos Island Foundation, AED, and the Organization for Tropical Studies. He also enjoys cooking and current events.
