biography

A veteran of 15 years in the executive search industry, Findlay Donnan is Operations Director at Boyden Middle East.

Findlay’s responsibilities at Boyden Middle East include business development, administration, human resources, marketing, and research.

A graduate of Glasgow University, Findlay is a student of leadership and its effect on organisations ranging from local private ventures to global corporations. His active management role in developing and implementing the search processes defines the firm’s high success rate in the region.

Findlay joined Boyden Middle East, formerly Morgan & Banks Middle East, from Nicholson International, Saudi Arabia where as Managing Director he opened three offices. Prior to this he was International Recruitment Consultant at Harrison Jones Associates in London between 1995-1997, where he was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly within Saudi Arabia.

As management consultant at Saudi Aramco between 1992-1995, Findlay handled recruitment of a diverse work force, including overseas travel to negotiate contracts and service fees with selected agencies/search companies.

Findlay began his civilian career in 1990 as Deputy Head at Potterspury Lodge School, England where, besides handling school administration, he was responsible for staff recruitment and development. Prior to that, he had a seven year stint with the Royal Air Force as a commissioned officer.

Married with two children, Findlay indulges in golf and rugby, when he’s not working or attempting a conversation in Arabic and Danish.
