David Ealson

biography

David's search experience reflects the size of the New Zealand market, his experience across most sectors, and at all levels. He has developed a reputation for delivering outcomes in the most difficult assignments, and has had clients recommended to him by competitors!

David established the Cornerstone practice in New Zealand, and is the Managing Partner.

Previous Experience
After completing his service in the New Zealand Air Force, David attained a B.Commerce from the University of Canterbury. He was appointed to his first CEO role at the age of 31, and has worked for US and Japanese based companies at the CEO level.

David entered the recruitment industry in the late 1980's. Concerned at the poor industry ethics, he established his own consultancy which grew based on a reputation for performance honesty and integrity.

He began his focus on Search when he found clients were failing to get results from other recruitment methodologies, and has continued providing clients with cost effective executive search solutions for over a dozen years.

Additional Activities
As with most New Zealanders, David has a keen interest in sport, and actively participates in yacht racing. He enjoys the outdoors, and hiking, fishing. He and his wife are avid cooks and gardeners.
