biography
Elizabeth Evans directs each job assignment for the company’s executive search division. She has established a strong executive search consultant reputation within the housing industry over the last four years. Elizabeth is the point-of-contact for employers seeking to find job candidates. She supervises all research and recruiting for search assignments and personally links companies to candidates.
In addition, Elizabeth has enjoyed success in corporate training and development, sales and marketing, organizational development, and executive interaction. In the early 1990s, Elizabeth began her work in human resources as a training and development specialist for Sea Pines Company a full service resort, property management and the state’s largest real estate company in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She also managed Lighthouse Rentals, a fee-managed property management company that offered short term resort rentals to Island visitors.
Elizabeth has also worked as a management, marketing, and organizational development consultant for institutions of higher learning and owners, operators, and developers of multi-housing companies focused on the senior living market. In higher education her assignments included interim human resource director positions for universities needing assistance to stabilize their human resources functions, to convert and integrate new human resource and payroll information systems, to incorporate staff development into long-range strategic plans and/or to help screen and select new human resource directors.
In the senior housing field, Elizabeth primarily worked with companies that were expanding into assisted living and independent living from a long-term care focus. She worked with such companies to help them shift from a medical to a social, resident services model during community design, initial sales and marketing, and initial resident occupancy. Working with existing management staff, Elizabeth helped select and train new staff and wrote policies and procedures to carry the communities forward after her departure.
While working at the corporate level within the hospitality industry, Elizabeth taught courses on employee selection, development and retention, professional communications, conflict management, sales and leasing, customer service and executive leadership. She also taught on the community college and high school levels. She taught English and Journalism, including Advanced Placement Language and Composition at Camp Lejeune High School, one of the two remaining Department of Defense high schools. After two years of teaching, she became a teaching administrator at the school, overseeing all student activities and clubs while continuing to teach two classes per day (Journalism and Advanced Placement Language and Composition).
Elizabeth holds a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
