A History of Towering Success. Some people have a knack for putting the right people together; only a handful can also successfully transition them during change. Friedman has always done both with success. Since founding Tower Consultants, Ltd. in 1988, Donna has left her trademarks of professionalism, sensitivity and insight on every one of the hundreds of searches conducted by Tower.

Tower was established with an original focus on compensation and benefit searches, blossoming into addressing the full array of the Human Resource function: Management and Organizational Development, Generalists, Benefits, Compensation, Executive Development, HRIS and Payroll, Training, Labor Relations/Employee Relations, and Staffing.

With the Experience to Back It Up. By the time she established Tower, Donna was already highly skilled at bringing people together. While earning her Master’s of Social Work from Fordham University in her hometown of New York City, Donna worked full time matching foster and adoptive children with prospective families that she recruited.

Later, Donna did psychotherapy work in the Department of Psychiatry at Manhattan’s St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she assisted individuals and their families to make a smooth transition out of the hospital and back into their communities. At Yale University’s Department of Medicine Donna ran career-focused school-, hospital- and community-based vocational programs that prepared and placed clients into appropriate community and works settings all these experiences further honed the compassion and sensitivity to every detail that is critical to a successful search.

Friedman easily made the transition into executive recruiting, where her assessment experience and job placement skills were a great match. After testing the executive recruiting waters briefly with another search firm, she started her own and Tower has continued to grow and achieve success since. Donna opened Tower’s second office in Stuart, Florida, in 1995.

Educational Credentials. Donna, who earned the designation of ACSW, is a certified Social Worker. She received her B.A. in Sociology from New Jersey’s Rider University, and MSW from Fordham University in New York City. She also had postgraduate training in couples and family intervention from New York Medical College.
