Hotel and Restaurant work has been an exciting part of Amy’s life since the ‘80’s when she took her very first job as a restaurant hostess. Amy worked her way through most every restaurant position during college and her love of this dynamic industry influenced her so much that she changed her degree to Restaurant & Hotel Management, graduating from Purdue University in 1988.
Upon graduation, Amy took a position as the Operations Manager over a two-unit, family owned fine dining restaurant. Later, Amy joined the F&B department with Marriott Hotels in Houston, Texas. Amy fully discovered her enthusiasm for recruiting after being promoted to the Director of Training & Recruiting for the property in Houston as well as the 5 sister properties under the same ownership.
Amy has been in Human Resources/Recruiting for the hospitality industry for the past 15+ years. Amy brings her passion for the industry and her love of recruiting to Hospitality Pro Search as a partner and co-founder.
