Mr. Wolf Gugler

biography

Wolf is President, Wolf Gugler & Associates Limited. He has established his reputation specializing in home improvement retailer and supplier executive searches.

Wolf has recruited on behalf of many top employers in Canada and the U.S. Prior to establishing his own business in 1997, he was most recently Senior Associate¾Executive Search with a national executive search firm. He has practiced in the executive search field since 1985, and is well known for his abilities in this very specialized field. His prior experience includes progressive Sales, Marketing and Operations management positions within the Communications and Retail industries. He is a Human Resources graduate of Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.

Wolf consults to a broad range of clientele, including firms in the sales and distribution sector, business-to-business and service organizations, as well as numerous manufacturing concerns. Both multi-billion-dollar corporations and smaller entrepreneurial firms have retained his firm to assist them in executive search and candidate selection.

For the past decade, Wolf has been an active participant in and is a Past-President of the Toronto Chapter of Sales & Marketing Executives International not-for-profit business association. He is also an active member of the Oklahoma chapter.

Wolf was honoured with the first A.E. “Al” Harrison Past Presidents’ Award for his ongoing dedication and contribution to the vitality of Sales & Marketing Executives of Toronto. Following his term as Chairman, Wolf continued to serve as Chair for the Sales & Marketing Executive of the Year Award, heading the Selection Committee.

He has served on the Retail Council of Canada’s Annual Conference Committee, and as a Judge for the “Excellence In Retailing” Awards. He has also served with The Canadian Professional Sales Association Government Relations Committee and committee work with the Canadian Hardware & Housewares Manufacturers Association.

Additionally, Wolf participates in several community activities, such as the “Race/Run For The Cure” for breast cancer research and Habitat For Humanity.
