biography
In 1997 Connie Hampton founded Hampton & Associates, an executive search and research firm, specializing in the biotech, pharmaceutical, life science, medical device and healthcare industries. Hampton’s unique ability to master detailed information in a short time, and her supreme organizing skills, drive her success. Today, the firm performs 40+ searches a year and maintains a constantly updated database of 95,000 industry names and 18,000 companies. However, these vast resources are in addition to, not instead of, personal attention. Hampton & Associates focuses on the unique nuances of each client’s request.
Apprenticing with Nancy Hitchcock of Hickcock and Associates in Oakland, taught Hampton the basics of performing a search and finding the right resources for the job. While working with Hitchcock & Associates, Hampton had the opportunity to work in e-commerce, consulting, and high tech, as well as biotech and pharmaceuticals.
She also uses knowledge gained from a previous, successful sales career in the legal, paper, and chemical fields. Prior to her business experience, she founded, organized, and administered the Northern California Homeschool Association. Her children, benefiting from that individual focus and attention, are now grown. Two are working on Ph.D.s, while a third is pursuing AP classes in high school.
Hampton is a member of many biotech and pharmaceutical industry groups, and is also active in international recruiting groups. She has been a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Recruiters’ Association (www.sfbara.org) since 1999, and is currently Co-Chair of the group.
Hampton holds a BA from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA.
