Jason is the Managing Partner of Hanold Associates, HR Executive Search. Based in Chicago's North Shore, Hanold Associates specializes in assignments for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Analytics, Labor Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Management Officers and HR succession projects.
Jason leverages his in-depth knowledge of distinctive leadership traits and competencies to effectively advise clients in assembling high-performing leadership teams through rigorous capability and nuanced culture fit assessment.
Before founding Hanold Associates, Jason was a partner with Russell Reynolds Associates where he led the firm's Human Resources Officer Practice and was a member of the Board of Directors and CEO Practices.
Prior to Russell Reynolds Associates, Jason led the Global Talent Acquisition for Whirlpool Corporation. Preceding Whirlpool, he was the Director of Recruiting with McKinsey & Company charged with direct-elect partner hiring and based in the firm-wide headquarters in New York. Prior to McKinsey, he was the Americas Director of Global Leadership Recruiting at Deloitte. He started his career with State Farm Insurance Companies in Claims operations progressing into broader Human Resources roles.
Jason earned his Master of Science degree from Northwestern University and received his bachelor's degree in interpersonal communications from Illinois State University. He holds an advanced management certification from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
Enjoying outdoor activities and as an avid mountain climber, Jason is involved with Big City Mountaineers, a non-profit organization that benefits at-risk youth. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Nominations & Governance Committee for the Board of Directors.
