Mr. Jerry Hirschel, CPC

biography

Jerry began his career in recruiting in 1986. He quickly moved up the ranks from recruiter, to Division Manager within three years, specializing in the midrange market. Then, on November 13, 1989, he opened his own company, Professional Search Centre, Ltd. Starting compact and utilizing his BS degree in Economics from Illinois State University, he at first specialized only in the DEC and HP marketplaces. Jerry has chosen to grow his team with great care. In 1989, PSC employed one recruiter. Now, the company consists of many full-time employees.

In 1992, Jerry was nominated to the Board of Directors for the Illinois Association of Personnel Services, where, as the state membership chairman, he grew the member base 100%! He received the Master Commitment Award for this achievement in 1995. As a past Director, Jerry now has more time to devote to his business and family.

As a recognized professional in the industry, Jerry has been asked to share his knowledge in many different ways. In 1994 and 1995, he was a regular contributor for the radio show “You're Hired: In the Trenches” on WCBR. He has also been a guest speaker on the cable TV program “Computer Now How Show.”
