Jerry Horowitz, Director of Technology Sales Recruiting

Jerry has spent the better part of his career in the business and sales management of various technical and information technology sales enterprises.

After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration he began his career as a field salesman for an electronic components manufacturer and ultimately became VP of Sales. He founded Tecnimat/TDS which, over the years, progressed from selling custom electronic products into the OEM marketplace, to distribution of data communications equipment to the end-user community, to designing and implementing and providing full system integration in the information technology network arena. During this period he was President and VP of Sales for the company which grew from a sole proprietorship to a 10 million dollar business employing 34 people.

Jerry sold Tecnimat/TDS to General Electric Capital and became Director of Business Development for GE-Information Technology Solutions New York City office where he started an IT system integration sales and implementation organization that was responsible for developing new revenue in excess of 5 million dollars in two years.

Mr. Horowitz subsequently started an enterprise to consult, recruit and market information technology consultants on a contract basis. One of the areas in which he began consulting was sales management for technology clients. Having spent a considerable portion of his career trying to find and keep good sales people he found that most organizations needed assistance when it came to recruiting top sales and sales management talent. It was at this time that he joined with the Louis Search Group which not only allowed him to focus his interest in the technology area but emphasized a value proposition for the consulting, recruiting and placement of sales and sales management personnel that was consistent with his own and significantly superior to others he had experienced.
