biography

A Director of de JAGER Executive Search in Australia, Mark joined the firm a number of years ago following a long career in Human Resources with blue chip Australian and global companies across diverse industry sectors.

Mark leads the Life Sciences practice in de JAGER Executive Search and is Global Leader of IIC Partners’ Life Sciences Practice Group. His deep experience in heavy industrial, construction, banking and healthcare sectors both in Australia and internationally also means he is well qualified to assist clients across a broad spectrum of industries, geographies and cultures. Mark is a key contributor to the de JAGER Executive Search People and Performance practice.

Prior to joining de JAGER, Mark was Asia Pacific Talent Acquisition Director for Johnson & Johnson responsible for leading the design and implementation of a talent acquisition capability across 15 countries in Asia Pacific. Mark previously held positions as Asia Pacific HR Transformation Director and Australia & NZ HR Director for J&J’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices businesses.

An Economics and Industrial Relations graduate, Mark’s career in Human Resources started in the steel industry with Tubemakers of Australia followed by increasingly responsible IR and HR roles in electrical and mechanical engineering with GEC Australia, building, civil and mechanical construction with Baulderstone Hornibrook and financial services with the Colonial State Bank Group.

Outside work commitments, Mark enjoys art, travelling with his wife, family activities with their grown up children, and getting his hands dirty in his home workshop and around their small rural property.
