biography
Mark joined Westwood in December 2008. He specializes in recruiting senior executives in Wealth Management and alternative investments including Real Estate and Private Equity.
Mark has particular expertise recruiting asset gatherers for alternative investments, including fundraising and investor relations professionals. In addition, Mark provides comprehensive research, analysis, and strategic advice to assist clients in evaluating the competitive landscape and exploring creative options for growth, which can include acquistions or team lift outs.
Prior to joining Westwood, Mark was a consultant for nine years at executive search firms The Gerson Group and A.T. Kearney (formerly Ray & Berndtson). Previously, Mark was a banker for ten years, most recently as Head of Commercial Real Estate Finance at The Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank (now Mizuho Financial). He began his banking career at The Chase Manhattan Bank where he was credit trained and was an officer in both corporate workouts and commercial real estate finance.
Mark has a BA in History and Sociology from Clark University. He also completed The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
