Mr. Oliver Liegel

biography

Oliver Liegel is a Director of Executive Search at Ginkgo Search Partners in China and serves as a member of the automotive and industrial practice group.

With extensive executive search experience in the European and Asia-Pacific markets, Oliver advises international corporations as well as mid-sized companies, helping them define their talent management strategies in China.

Prior to joining Ginkgo Search Partners, he spent several years working for leading international executive search firms where he was based in offices in Marseille, Berlin, and Beijing.

He has worked across sectors, covering a range of industries such as Automotive, Machinery, Chemical, Logistics, as well as Professional Services. He focuses on senior to top management appointments for multinational firms expanding in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, he is an expert in the area of competitor screening.

Oliver’s most recent assignments include the set-up of the in-house consulting team for one of the leading European carmakers and the search for the senior management team for a renowned German automotive supplier as well as the search for a Managing Director for one of the global top five logistics companies in China.

Oliver studied international economics at the University of Applied Sciences, Bremen and the University Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. After obtaining his master’s degree he undertook postgraduate studies in Human Resources Management from the Free University Berlin.

He is fluent in German, English and French and speaks some Italian and Chinese.
