Mr. Roger Manning

biography

Roger Manning graduated from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 1974 with a B.S. in Biology. Prior to beginning his career in recruiting healthcare managers, Roger himself spent 25 years in the healthcare industry. Of those 25 years, 15 years were spent in the pharmaceutical industry with ADRIA LABORATORIES and QUAD PHARMACEUTICALS. Roger held positions of Sales Representative (3 ½ years), District Manager (10 years), Hospital Regional Sales Manager (1 year) and National Sales Manager (1 year).



Roger then entered the home health care industry working for NORRELL HEALTHCARE. Roger held such positions as Branch Administrator, Market Manager, Area Manager and was promoted to National Sales Manager for the Supplemental Nurse Staffing Division of NURSES HOUSE CALL [who purchased Norrell Healthcare]. During his tenure with Norrell, he managed business lines that consisted of certified home health care, Private Duty nursing, supplemental staffing, and home infusion therapy pharmacy. Roger joined LINCARE, INC to head up a specialty product line involving high-risk perinatal home health care services and home infusion therapy. Services included home uterine activity monitoring (HUAM), tocolytic therapy, gestational diabetes management, PIH management and other high-risk conditions associated with pregnancy. Accomplishments include the building of a state-of-the-art HUAM monitoring center and infusion pharmacy in Indianapolis. He grew this business line from a single location in Indianapolis to multiple locations throughout Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and Texas. When Lincare decided to exit this product line, Roger and team of clinical associates began the process of starting up a new perinatal home health care company in Indianapolis. This company became a part of GATEWAY HOMECARE, a venture capital backed company. In 1998, Roger made the decision to take his industry experience and apply it into the field of recruiting of middle & executive level managers within the health care and medical industries. After three very successful years working for Management Recruiters International (MRI), Roger started the Manning Search Group LLC on September 29, 2001.



Roger's overall experience and competencies include sales & sales management; branch, regional and national operations management; Profit & Loss responsibilities; Human Resources management; business start-ups; pre-acquisition due diligence; managed care contract negotiations. Industry knowledge and/or experience includes hospital, home health care, ambulatory surgery centers, pharmacy, group purchasing organizations, ancillary services, durable medical equipment, respiratory services, managed care/third party payors, supplemental nurse staffing and many other related healthcare service sectors.
