George Matthews has been a recruiter in San Francisco since 1987. His focus is in filling Public Relations, Marketing Communications and Account Management positions in the hi tech/consumer tech and investor relations field. He works with both agencies as well as corporate accounts. He has successfully placed senior level administrative staff as well as entire account teams for agencies who seek staff with specific industry experience such as software technology, nanotechnology, finance, biotech or healthcare.
Mr. Matthews is a former Membership Director for the San Francisco Chapter of PRSA, a member of The San Francisco Publicity Club, PR Rountable and San Francisco Business Wire.
A native San Franciscan, Mr. Matthews has worked for Little, Brown Publishing House in Boston, was Director of Job Placement for the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco and has taught creative writing at both Boston University and the Iowa Writers Workshop where he received an MFA in fiction writing in 1984.
