David McCormack

David joined Westwood Partners as a Partner in 2010. He focuses on Global Markets and specializes in advising clients on senior management and senior revenue producing positions in the global markets equity arena, both cash and derivatives.

With more than ten years of executive search experience he has an extensive track record completing senior mandates across sales, trading, research and prime services for clients in Asia, EMEA, LatAM and the US, who are predominantly investment banks and boutiques. David is a true specialist in his field of expertise and is often quoted by Reuters and the Wall Street Journal on human capital issues.

Prior to joining Westwood, David was Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Markets at executive search firm DHR International. Prior to this, he ran the Global Markets Equity practice at boutique executive search firm Sheffield Haworth. David started his career in 1998 at Merrill Lynch in London as an Equity Sales Trader and has worked in Dublin, London, and New York.

David was born and educated in Ireland and is active in the New York Irish community across social, charitable, and philanthropic organizations.
