Kaarla McKenzie, President and Managing Director of Source Executive Search|Consulting, has over ten years of experience managing the executive search process as well as expertise in career counseling, professional development, salary negotiation and conflict resolution.

After earning highest honors and degrees in both Literature and Writing from Saint Leo University, Kaarla began her professional life with AT&T Wireless Services where she assisted with the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of Account Executives. With sharpened enthusiasm for the challenges and demands of creating the consummate match between candidate and employer, Kaarla then launched her career as an executive recruiter; initially for the communications and information technology industries and later within the advertising and marketing arena.

PLA, Inc. Founder Pat Lipton aggressively recruited Kaarla to join the firm in early 1999 in anticipation that she would ultimately assume responsibility for the direction and daily operations of the firm. Kaarla became President of PLA, Inc. in 2001. In 2004, Kaarla spearheaded the corporate rebranding of PLA to Source Executive Search|Consulting. Kaarla holds the title of VP, Marketing of the regional chapter of the National Association of Woman Business Owners and is a member of the highly selective National Association of Executive Recruiters.
