biography
After a nine-year career in the 1980's with Canada's largest business-to-business information services provider where he managed Canada's first online BBS for doctors and tried to invent the Internet, Hugh moved on, leaving the task to Al Gore.
In the 90's Hugh turned his passion for community and cultural events, social and political causes into a career by harnessing his professional sales and marketing expertise to assist non-profit organizations in building strategic marketing partnerships with corporate sponsors. Hugh has acted in both staff and consulting roles to a wide range of organizations such as Kids Help Phone, RBC Royal Bank, Canadian Special Olympics, Heritage Canada, Encyclopedia of Music in Canada, Hospital for Sick Children, The Arthritis Society and Pangaea NewMedia.
Hugh is actively involved in the new media marketplace as a Board member of AIMS - the Association of Internet Marketing & Sales where he is Co-Chair for Sponsorship.
Years of consulting work to clients in different businesses have taught Hugh to be a quick study. He has the ability to rapidly assess and understand the needs of a client and create a plan of action to address them. These qualities combined with his talent for recognizing people's strongest skills gives Hugh the skill set necessary to help IQ Partners' clients build exceptional teams.
