Lan Nguyen is a Managing Director with Chadick Ellig. She joined the firm in 2000 from the practice of law, bringing versatility, strong problem-solving and client advisory skills to her search work. Lan is a strategic partner to organizations in C-level recruiting as well as in broad “team builds” enterprise-wide and for specific business groups, across staff and line functions, for Fortune 100 as well as startups, nonprofits and government entities. She is highly investigative in her approach to the market and excels in providing her clients with insightful market data. As a generalist, Lan has a wide breadth of industry and functional experience. Her sector expertise is financial services including insurance, banking, corporate finance/investment banking, brokerage/securities, commercial and specialty/asset based finance, consumer finance, asset and wealth management, and retirement services (DC/401(k), IRAs, annuities). Other sectors include healthcare, industrial products, consumer services, technology and B2B industries. Lan has an expanding practice recruiting for private equity operating companies, alternative energy, natural resources and technology sectors as well as cross-border collaborations in Asia and Latin America. She brings a sophisticated understanding to the more technical, emerging and esoteric functional roles such as Privacy Officer, Security Officer, Digital/Social Media/Mobile, Innovation Officer and Cross Cultural Initiatives. As an attorney in Washington, DC, Lan practiced in the areas of complex business and regulatory litigation, particularly involving the federal government. Lan has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
