Joe founded Harbor Light Talent Solutions in November of 2017, after 5 highly successful years as an independent contractor with Buchanan and Associates. Through his vast network of industry contacts, Joe successfully completed search assignments up to and including senior executive level positions worldwide.

Joe has specialized in executive recruiting for a variety of industries including aerospace, power generation, fashion apparel, athletic footwear, and media and entertainment.

Prior to partnering with Buchanan & Associates, Joe spent 30+ years in the aerospace industry. He has extensive knowledge of process engineering, cost estimation, quality assurance, customer service and sales and marketing in surface technologies.

Lynn Matthews, Managing Director

Lynn joined Harbor Light Talent Solutions in January 2018 after more than 17 years of in-house talent acquisition experience. Most notably Lynn spent 11+ years at Nike Inc. where she led product and global retail recruiting efforts and 2+ years leading the global talent acquisition function for the National Basketball Association. Lynn began her career in retained executive search at Battalia Winston International.

Lynn has extensive experience in fashion and athletic apparel and footwear, retail; digital commerce, omni-channel, bricks and mortar, and wholesale, and the sports, entertainment and media industries. Having successfully executed executive searches in a broad spectrum of product functions including merchandising, product management, product development, innovation and operations, Lynn has also led recruitment efforts to successfully fill technology, finance, and human resources positions.

Lynn has consulted across a wide variety of talent acquisition topics including; employment branding, optimized hiring processes, diversity sourcing and inclusive recruiting practices, hiring toolkits, technology, competency models and behavioral interviewing.

Lynn and Joe reside in central Connecticut and the southern shores of Maine. A graduate of The Eastman School of Music and Manhattan School of Music, Lynn continues to perform in her car. When Joe is away from his desk you can find him in pursuit of the perfect golf swing and an elusive sub 90 score.
