Mr. Joe Orem

biography

As a Partner with Ahern Search Partners, Joe Orem brings our clients over 20 years of senior level management experience in human resources, executive search, healthcare, finance and information technology. He has significant experience in all areas of human resources and has been instrumental in helping client companies grow their revenue by helping them solve a myriad of human resources problems. Joe is also the Partner In Charge of the Ahern Search Partners' Human Resources Consulting Practice.

Having served in senior management positions, he has a keen understanding of the significant role human resources management and organizational development have in maximizing the bottom line performance of organizations.

Prior to joining Ahern Search Partners, Joe was Vice President and General Manager of a national executive search and recruiting firm, leading the firm to significant revenue and client growth. Joe also served as head of corporate human resources for a Fortune 500 healthcare provider. In this role, he developed an HR team that successfully led the organization through several mergers. This included external talent assessment as well as assessment of management talent within merging organizations. Key to his success in this endeavor was an understanding of the complimentary role technology and people play in an organization's success. In addition, he was the founder of a medical management firm that provides practice management and information technology to physicians and hospitals. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University. He holds the CCP designation from the American Compensation Association and is a past president of the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. Orem is also Chairman of Lead Dog Web Design, a company he founded in 2001.

Joe has authored numerous articles and designed training programs on Communications, Performance Management, Front-Line Supervision, Managed Care, Selection Techniques, Healthcare Network Administration, Physician and Hospital Contracting, Medical Cost Containment, Customer Service, Selling/Sales Management and Talent Assessment.
