SkyWater is a "short list" search firm which is dedicated to the placement of Sales, Marketing IT, Accounting/Finance, and HR related personnel. The company also has a highly specialized CPG (consumer packaged goods) industry-based practice group.

Kurt Rakos is a founder and Partner at SkyWater Search Partners. He has an active role in strategically growing SkyWater across all business units. In addition, Kurt successfully places mid to executive level talent for a wide range of companies including small emerging companies to fortune 500 companies since 1998. In March of 2013, SkyWater Search Partners was recognized as 'Best Places to Work' by the Minneapolis-St Paul Business Journal. Prior to creating and establishing Skywater, Kurt Rakos was one of the Co-Founders and Partner of Minnesota’s largest search firm from 2001-2012.

Previously to entering the recruitment business, Kurt held a sales management executive position at a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 sales organization. During that time, he held several sales and sales management positions for this industry-leading organization. Kurt holds a B.S. degree from St. Cloud State University. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
