Peter Rost is Partner of CEO Europe. From Cologne, Germany, he is responsible for the German speaking markets in Europe. Peter has gained a solid track record in the international business environment, successful as entrepreneur, on interim management assignments and positions held as General Manager.
Prior to joining CEO Europe, Peter established Streamday in 1999 and securely positioned the company as an end-to-end streaming media enabler, whilst consulting businesses in the implementation of online communication strategies, specifically within the environment of broadband media services. Prior to Streamday, he had taken on numerous interim management assignments, such as:
established and developed the European market for DECA, a Korean manufacturer of constructional toys (12 months).
generated revenue potential for Quantum Pursuits in Germany, a leader in the interactive gaming and leisure industry (3 months).
sourced and developed sales channels for a Japanese manufacturer of glass-fibre extrusion materials (3 months).
developed the European market for a leading German retail and mail-order specialist in the outdoor and sporting goods market. From within their affiliate in Budapest, Hungary, he was responsible for international product development, sourcing, procurement with far-east manufacturers and marketing & sales for the specific product group. (12 months).
turn-around of a German wholesaler of specialized equestrian supplies, taking the position of General Manager, restructuring and appointing a successor. (6 months).
From 1992 to 1996 Peter held the position of General Manager at Freetime b.v., a subsidiary of the Dutch Hagemeyer Group, an international trading company in the sporting goods and leisure industry. With sales responsibility of over $ 100M in over 32 countries worldwide, he was responsible for the strategic and business development and accountable for consolidating business activities of the 13 international group companies and over 20 distributors worldwide, many of which were established under his responsibility.
Prior to joining Hagemeyer, Peter held positions as Director of Marketing & Sales and Business Development with international trading companies in Germany.
Peter visited schools in the United Kingdom, attended military services in Germany, prior to completing his university degree in business studies and economics at the University of Cologne.
