Mr. James M Schmidt

biography

Jim has over 20 years of experience in executive search and is currently part of the ownership group at Grant Cooper & Associates. Jim’s specialty focus is on senior leadership positions, primarily in the healthcare, mid market business and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining GCA, Jim was one of the founding partners of another prominent national healthcare recruiting and consulting business. In addition to conducting searches there, Jim was the Chief Operating Officer and managed a staff of 100+ that conducted over 600 searches a year. He was instrumental in growing the company to one of the largest search companies in the United States. Prior to his career in search, Jim was an HR executive with Citicorp, at the time the second largest financial services company in the world. Jim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University. Jim is an active member of both MGMA and AMGA.
