biography

Julie Sherriff is President of Sherriff & Associates, a nationally recognized search and consulting organization which has provided services exclusively to the healthcare industry for more than 30 years.

The firm offers traditional retained search as well as boutique and custom designed services including candidate sourcing, expert witness, and contingency search. In addition, we are experts at providing clients a customized job/position marketing plan, including design and launching services, which will assist them in their own candidate search efforts.

Since beginning her healthcare search career, Julie’s proven track record of effective search management, from initial consulting and problem-solving to final contract negotiations has earned the company assignments from a diverse client base including private practices, hospitals and health systems, major academic institutions, as well as publicly traded or privately owned subspecialty clinics.

Prior to her physician search career, Julie worked for a radiology group practice and also served as an officer in a software company.

With extensive and varied organizational expertise, Julie served the National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR) as President and a board member for nearly 20 years. She is also a founding member of the organization. Due to her many years in the field, Julie brings an exceptional understanding of the unique needs of healthcare organizations.

Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mid-America Nazarene University and graduate hours from Kansas University. She lives in the Greater Kansas City area with her husband Bill, and has two children. Her leisure activities include studying and collecting antiques, traveling, photography, reading, and following local professional and collegiate sports teams; the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs.
