Mr. William J Sheweloff

biography

William J. Sheweloff, our President, is a 26-year veteran of the executive search industry. He has placed hundreds of mid- to senior-level executives through to Chief Executive Officer and Board of Director members. Throughout his career, Mr. Sheweloff has worked with four search firms including the world’s largest, KornFerry International, and as a Partner in his own firm.

Throughout his career, he has managed every component of the search process from business development, research, candidate recruitment and management through to closure, and after-the-close candidate follow-up across a broad spectrum of industries.

Prior to his most recent assignment with a Top 20 retained executive search firm in Los Angeles, Mr. Sheweloff was an Executive Vice President and Partner with the Los Angeles based, retained executive search firm of McCray, Sheweloff & Associates, Inc.

In the field of executive search since 1980, his charter has included the conduct of business development, and both the management and hands-on execution, of senior officer-level searches for Board members, Chief Executive Officers, as well as General Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Manufacturing, and Engineering executives for clients within technology, wireless and satellite communications, DoD, manufacturing, life sciences and multiple service-related industries.

As part of his overall efforts, Mr. Sheweloff has executed representative search assignments that range from building management teams for start up firms, through the recruitment of all functional disciplines for startup through multi-billion dollar corporations. His other responsibilities include competitive benchmarking and executive assessment.

Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Sheweloff began with a well-regarded Southern California construction company in Sales Management and General Management roles. His background includes functioning as Vice President and Principal for a successful mortgage company with responsibility for strategic direction and organizational development, culminating with the sale of the business to a major mortgage bank.

Mr. Sheweloff earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University, where he graduated in the top one percent of his class.
