n and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, I obtained my B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University and my law degree from Southern Methodist University. After founding my own law firm and practicing business law for 5 years, I transitioned to the business world as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of a real estate development firm, followed by serving in the same positions for a publicly held distribution company in Dallas.
After a successful sale of the distribution company, I served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration for Brierley & Partners, a leading CRM and Marketing Company for many of America’s leading corporations, including United Airlines, Hertz, Hilton, Blockbuster and UPS.
In 2002, I joined American Auto Exchange (AAX) as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. From 2002 to 2005, we grew from 1 dealer to over 750 dealers, including 5 of the 6 largest automotive groups. In 2005, we sold AAX to JMsolutions, a newly formed division of JM Family Enterprises, a diversified automotive company based in Florida. I stayed on with Jmsolutions as Chief Financial Officer and later as Vice President Operations, continuing to grow the dealer base from 750 dealers to over 3,000 dealers.
