Mr. Maarten Wilmink

biography

Maarten is primarily focused on management and board positions for trade companies and consumer goods and services businesses.

Over the past twenty years, Maarten has held a number of commercial and general management positions in retail, financial services and employment services. Maarten started his career with the Netherlands’ largest retail trade organization for DIY goods, Intergamma. After working as a shop manager and category manager, he brought his retail and marketing expertise to Fortis Bank Netherlands. As call center manager, he stood at the foundation of a large-scaled client contract migration from the office organization to direct channels such as telephone and Internet. He subsequently spent a number of years in the role of Commercial Banking Director. At Yacht - a subsidiary of Randstad Holding - he held both commercial and general management positions and acquired extensive experience in employment services for (academic level), professionals.

Maarten has a master degree in Business Economics from the VU University Amsterdam.

Maarten enjoys an active family life with his wife and four children. They play tennis, golf and go sailing, and every winter, train for the Elfstendentocht, a traditional Dutch, 200 km ice skating tour.
