biography
Louise M. Young joined Jones-Parker/Starr as Senior Vice President in 1998 and has over a decade of experience in executive search, most recently at Spencer Stuart where she worked with senior partners on top management assignments.
Louise began her career at Raines International where she developed a practice in real estate finance. Focused on senior level professionals in numerous functions, her client list included international banks, insurance companies, as well as pension advisory and investment banking firms.
In connection with her robust practice, Louise became a recognized specialist in the real estate search community. She was frequently called upon for her opinion on career trends and compensation surveys and was quoted in national publications. She was also a frequent speaker at national symposiums, various professional associations, colleges and other professional groups.
Louise left Raines to join JD Ross International, a generalist boutique executive search firm located in New York. There she focused on President and CEO searches for Fortune 100 companies.
Before becoming an executive search consultant, Louise was an advertising copywriter for several well-known advertising agencies including Young & Rubicam, BBD&O and McCaffrey/McCall. She also worked in film production, shooting films and commercials in Europe and across the United States.
Louise holds a BA from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts and has studied at the NYU Real Estate Institute. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Women's Links Golf Association and a past Member of the Board of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW).
