In his current role as Head of Research since 2010, Jochen is responsible for identifying talented individuals across the various practices supported by de JAGER Executive Search. Initially, Jochen works closely with our consulting team to build a detailed understanding of candidate profile for each assignment. Working then with a combination of research techniques including our proprietary data bases, the latest Boolean internet searching techniques and direct approaches, Jochen aims to generate quality candidate lists for each assignment. Similarly, he is also responsible for developing comprehensive market mapping intelligence for de JAGER's clients. Prior to joining de JAGER Executive Search, Jochen was a founding partner of their affiliated recruitment firm, Oryx People. For a number of years, he helped cement the firm's reputation as one of Australia's premier automotive recruitment companies. Earlier, he spent time with a global recruitment firm in London as a consultant specializing in the education sector. Jochen "cut his teeth" in retail sales within the automotive industry in the late nineties. Jochen is currently completing a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) through Charles Sturt University and he has also completed a Level 2 people sourcing certification through CPSP. Outside of work Jochen enjoys learning about Behavioural Economics and consumer decision making. He also enjoys golf, home improvement and getting out and about with his family
